Reservation and Check-In Check-in time is one hour prior to scheduled departure time of domestic flights and two hours prior to scheduled departure time of international flights. Check-in will be closed 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure time of domestic flights and 35 minutes prior to scheduled departure time of international flights. If your stay is more than 72 hours at a stop- over point, be sure to have your next flight reservation confirmed. Otherwise your reservation can be automatically cancelled. Unaccompanied Minors Children between the ages of 7 and 12 can fly on Turkish Airlines flights without being accompanied. For children traveling alone a permission is required from their parents or guardians. Pets Cats, dogs and birds that have valid health and vaccination certificate / entry permission for the country of destination can be carried in the cabin in a private cage. Animals not mentioned above will be transported in the cargo department. PROCEDURES: For carriage of such animals in the cabin, reservation is required. These animals are accepted in special pet carriers sized 45x35x23 cm and the passengers are expected to provide the carriers themselves. The total weight of the animal and the carrier must not exceed 6 kg. Live animals are not carried in the cabin on flights to United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, etc. because of health regulations. Dogs assisting blind and deaf passengers can be carried free of charge in the cabin without any cage (except for United Kingdom). Due to international requirements, all flights to North Cyprus (Ercan Airport) have to touch down, en route, in Turkey (Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya or Dalaman Airport). The stopover lasts about 30-45 minutes and there is usually no change of aircraft. Luggage is checked-in straight through to Ercan Airport.
